Life Together Privacy Policy
Effective 30 August 2026
Life Together is published by LIVIA CARE PTY LTD, trading as Intellova. It helps two adults capture, organise and discuss shared-life plans. This policy explains how the Life Together private-testing app handles personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
1. Preview and signed-in use
You can explore a fictional preview without an account. Preview content and changes stay in the app's local storage. When you sign in, Life Together creates a real private household backed by the Life Together service. Signed-in household content is encrypted in transit and stored so it can synchronise between partners and devices.
2. Information Life Together handles
- Account information: account identifier, email address, display name, sign-in provider and planning preferences.
- Household information: household name, membership, roles, invitations and the email address used to invite a partner.
- Shared-life content: life areas, plans, items, tasks, due dates, assignments, conversations, messages, reactions and read state.
- Personal content: personal notes are available only to their author, although they are stored by the service while the account remains active.
- Captures: text, links, selected screenshots or photos, source metadata, extracted suggestions and the changes you approve.
- Device permissions: camera, selected photo-library content and calendar access only when you use the matching feature. Life Together does not upload your photo library or calendar; only the item you choose and review is submitted.
- Service and security records: limited request, error, IP-address, malware-scan and security-event information needed to operate, protect and troubleshoot the service.
3. Smart capture and human review
Signed-in captures are processed in Amazon Web Services. Images are encrypted, scanned for malware and then analysed with Amazon Bedrock. For a link, Life Together retrieves a limited amount of public page text and blocks private-network destinations. The resulting title, type, details and suggested life area are proposals only. Nothing is added to the household until a person reviews and applies it. Do not use Life Together for emergencies or rely on an automated suggestion without checking it.
4. Service providers and location
| Provider | Purpose | Information involved |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon Web Services | Authentication, application hosting, encrypted storage, database, security scanning, realtime sync and smart capture | Account and household information, content you submit, service and security records |
| Google or Microsoft | Optional social sign-in | The profile fields and sign-in confirmation you approve |
| Apple or Google Play | App distribution and tester feedback | Install, store and feedback information handled under their policies |
Life Together's application data is hosted in the AWS Sydney region. Google, Microsoft, Apple and Google Play may process information in other countries under their own privacy policies.
5. Security, retention and deletion
Life Together uses encrypted transport, encrypted AWS storage, secure device credential storage, row-level household access controls and malware scanning for image uploads. Draft image uploads expire after seven days. Export files expire after seven days and their download links expire sooner. Production application logs are retained for up to 90 days, while restricted security audit records may be retained for up to seven years.
Account deletion is available in the app. It disables active sessions, removes the profile, private notes and device endpoints, and queues deletion of the Cognito identity. In a two-person household, shared content stays with the remaining partner and existing messages are labelled “Former partner”. If the deleting person is the only member, the household and all stored attachment versions are permanently purged after seven days. See the account deletion instructions.
6. Your choices
You may use the fictional preview without signing in, decline optional permissions, choose email/password instead of social sign-in, export a JSON copy of your account and household data when the export control is available in your build, or delete your account. You may also request access or correction by emailing apps@intellova.com.au.
7. Advertising, analytics and children
Life Together does not contain advertising, cross-app tracking or behavioural-analytics SDKs, does not sell personal information and does not share information with data brokers. The private test is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly create accounts for children.
8. Contact and complaints
Contact LIVIA CARE PTY LTD, trading as Intellova, at apps@intellova.com.au for access, correction, deletion or a privacy complaint. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
