Dicta Terms of Service
Last updated: 28 August 2026
These terms govern your use of Dicta, a Chrome voice-typing extension published by LIVIA CARE PTY LTD, trading as Intellova ("Intellova"). By using Dicta you agree to these terms and the Dicta Privacy Policy.
1. What Dicta does
Dicta converts speech into draft text and can place it at the active cursor on supported web pages. Transcription is automated and may be wrong, incomplete or delayed. Review the text before sending, publishing or relying on it.
2. Private beta
The current release is a limited private beta for approved testers. Access may be changed, suspended or withdrawn while we test reliability, security and compatibility. You must be at least 18 and use an account you are authorised to control.
3. Your words and responsibility
You keep ownership of what you dictate. You give us and our service providers only the permission needed to transcribe, return and securely store that content in your Dicta history until you delete it. You are responsible for having the right to record and process the words you provide, reviewing the resulting text, and complying with laws and workplace rules that apply to you.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not use Dicta for unlawful, abusive or rights-infringing content.
- Do not attempt to bypass tester access, rate limits, field protections or another person's account.
- Do not probe, disrupt, resell or automate the service beyond ordinary personal voice typing.
- Do not use Dicta as an emergency, medical, legal or safety-critical transcription service.
5. Plans, renewals and minute packs
Paid prices are shown in US dollars before checkout. A monthly or annual Pro subscription renews automatically until cancelled. You can manage payment details, invoices and cancellation through Stripe's hosted billing portal. Cancelling a subscription takes effect at the end of the paid billing period.
A 300-minute pack is a one-time purchase, does not renew and adds minutes only to the calendar month in which Stripe confirms payment. Unused included or purchased minutes do not roll over. We do not charge automatic overages. Refund rights required by the Australian Consumer Law continue to apply.
6. Availability and changes
Dicta is provided on an "as available" basis during the beta. Browsers, websites and speech services change, and some fields or editors may not work. We may change or discontinue beta features and will update the public policy when data handling materially changes.
7. Ending use
You may sign out, delete your Dicta account, or remove the extension at any time. Deleting the account immediately cancels an active subscription and does not create a prorated refund unless the law requires one. We may suspend access for security, abuse, legal requirements or breach of these terms. Account deletion is described in the Dicta Privacy Policy.
8. Consumer rights and liability
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to those rights, Dicta is a drafting aid and Intellova is not responsible for decisions made from an unreviewed or inaccurate transcript, indirect or consequential loss, or failures outside our reasonable control.
9. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by Queensland, Australia. Contact LIVIA CARE PTY LTD, trading as Intellova, at apps@intellova.com.au.
