Care Context Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
Care Context is a Chrome extension published by LIVIA CARE PTY LTD, trading as Intellova ("Intellova", "we", "us"). It gives authorised care workers a read-only context layer over browser-based systems they already use. This policy covers the Care Context extension and its supporting service. Intellova's other products are covered by their own policies or the Intellova Privacy Policy. We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
1. What Care Context reads
When the extension is enabled on a page, it creates a limited context record from information visible in that page. The record may contain:
- the website origin and a redacted page-route pattern;
- the page title and a broad page type, such as client, plan, schedule, invoice or form;
- visible headings, field labels and table headings;
- a small allowlist of visible status words and dates;
- a capture time and a one-way page fingerprint.
Because Care Context is intended for care work, page titles or headings may include personal information or health information. The extension does not upload page HTML, form values, password fields, hidden fields, email addresses, phone numbers or the full page body. It briefly checks visible body text on the device for allowlisted status words and dates, then discards that body text.
2. Account, questions and notes
- Account information: Google or Microsoft sign-in supplies an account identifier, email address and basic profile information. Short-lived access tokens are held in Chrome's session storage and are removed when the browser session ends or the user signs out.
- Questions: a question entered in Ask is sent with the permitted page evidence to our service to generate an answer. We store a one-way hash of the question and token counts for operational auditing, not the raw question or answer.
- Page notes: notes created in the current extension release remain in the extension's local Chrome storage and are not written back to the website being viewed.
3. How information is used
- to recognise the current page and provide a page-aware briefing;
- to connect related context that the signed-in user is authorised to access;
- to answer read-only questions using the permitted page evidence;
- to secure accounts, isolate each user's data and investigate service failures;
- to meet legal, security and compliance obligations.
Care Context does not modify the website being viewed. We do not sell user data, use it for advertising, build advertising profiles, assess creditworthiness or use it for purposes unrelated to Care Context.
4. Where information is processed
Care Context's service is hosted in Amazon Web Services in the Asia Pacific (Sydney) region. Account data, page-context records and derived insights are stored in an encrypted, product-specific database. Data is encrypted in transit. Amazon Bedrock processes permitted page evidence and questions to generate answers; Intellova does not use customer content to train its own models.
5. Service providers
| Provider | Purpose | Information involved |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon Web Services (Sydney) | Sign-in, hosting, encrypted storage and AI answers | Account data, limited page context and questions |
| Google or Microsoft | Sign-in selected by the user | Identity and authentication information |
| Google Chrome Web Store | Extension distribution | Install and store-account information collected by Google |
6. Access and isolation
The service validates the user's sign-in token on every protected request. Page context is isolated by a server-derived user or organisation identifier; the browser cannot choose another organisation identifier. Care Context only returns information the signed-in user is authorised to access.
7. Retention, access and deletion
We retain account and page-context records while they are needed to provide Care Context, maintain security and meet legal obligations. You may ask us to provide access to, correct or delete personal information associated with your account by emailing apps@intellova.com.au. We may retain limited records where law requires it, and encrypted backup copies expire under our backup schedules.
8. User controls
Users can sign out at any time. The extension can be disabled or removed through Chrome. Removing the extension removes its local data from that Chrome profile, but does not by itself delete records already held by the Care Context service; contact us to request server-side deletion.
9. Payments
The current release does not collect payment information. If a paid subscription is introduced, payment-card details will be collected by the payment provider rather than by the extension, and this policy and the Chrome Web Store disclosures will be updated before that feature is made available.
10. Changes and contact
We will update this policy and its date if Care Context's data practices change. For privacy questions, access or deletion requests, contact:
